Tamara English lives and works in Portland, Oregon. Her background includes fine arts, ceramics, photography,  writing, textile painting, and music video production.  She has designed and sold her own line of jewelry, and she founded and briefly ran a small record label. In the field of video production she worked with nationally known artists such as Kathleen Hanna and Nirvana.
