One of my paintings at The Generator Group 2340 NW Thurman, up through May 31st. This painting
is 22" x 34" and is part of the new series called Re-Union. With so many rifts in the realm of the religious
traditions, these paintings are about bringing together in images what is in the deepest sense already together.
There are two of my paintings in a group show at The Generator Group, a recruiting firm in NW Portland.
The show is really amazing. It is called TEN, as there are ten artists showing. What I find so amazing is that
there is a huge variety of media and subject matter and styles and it all works! Abstract paintings, sculpture, photos,
prints, it's all here. M. Wallulis currated the show, and brought all these amazing pieces together to create a
dynamic show that keeps you on your toes. Included in the show are several fellow alumni from PNCA, including Heather
McLaughlin, Carolina Medina-Dupaix and Juliana Weir.
The two paintings of
mine in the show are newer work. One is from the Garden of Her Majesty Series, and the other is from my new body of
work called Re-Union. This body of work is about bringing together what has been torn apart- different spiritual paths,
science and spirituality, and more, and creating something beautiful beyond the sum of the parts. It addresses how truth
comes in many different ways.
"TEN"
is open fro viewing from 11 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday at The Generator Group at 2340 NW Thurman Street, Suites 202
and 302. My paintings are in Suite 302. if you want to call them for more info- 503.224.4811.
